NYT Strands today (game #635) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #635, are…
- COIN
- FOUNTAIN
- LADYBUG
- STAR
- DANDELION
- EYELASH
- SPANGRAM:MAKEAWISH
- My rating: Hard
- My score: 1 hint
The theme was pretty vague, so uncertain of the kind of words I was looking for I collected non-game words and took a hint.
After getting COIN I immediately spotted FOUNTAIN and originally thought we were searching for pairs of words after seeing the spangram MAKEAWISH.
There is an incredible number of things we consider as bringing us luck and by turns bad luck.
I can remember spending hours looking for a four-leaf clover as a child, believing this would be my pathway to a fortuitous life.
Equally I am cursed with believing in dozens of signs of bad luck and cannot pass a magpie without saying hello, can’t spill salt without tossing some over my shoulder, and will walk into oncoming traffic rather than under a ladder.
