New Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra renders show off the phone’s new look, while a specs leak points to old cameras

  • Supposedly official renders of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra have leaked
  • They show a couple of significant changes and a lot that’s stayed the same
  • Leaked camera specs suggest not much will be changing there

We may have just had our best look yet at the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, as a new leak has revealed supposedly official renders of the phone from a variety of angles.

Shared by Android Headlinesthese renders – one of which you can see below – show the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra in black, and it has two obvious differences to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

First off, there are its corners, which match previous leaked renders in being curvier here than on the current model. Second, there’s the camera layout – while there are still four lenses and they’re still positioned in the same parts of the phone’s back, this time, three of those lenses are housed in a camera block, rather than rising directly out of the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The rest of the design is similar to that of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, though the new phone could be slightly slimmer, with this report claiming that it’s 7.9mm thick – down from the 8.2mm thick Galaxy S25 Ultra. Mind you, the camera island on the Galaxy S26 Ultra reportedly protrudes 4.5mm, so that section of the phone could be rather chunky.

In any case, these changes shouldn’t make the Galaxy S26 Ultra look dramatically different from the S25 Ultra, but those curvier corners do look nice, and these changes would make it distinct from the old phone, so they’re probably for the best.

Keeping the cameras

What’s not for the best is keeping the camera specs the same, yet that’s apparently exactly what’s happening, with Etnews (via GSMArena) claiming that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will once again have a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide, a 10MP 3x telephoto, and a 50MP 5x telephoto, along with a 12MP front-facing camera.

It’s possible that some of these cameras will differ from their predecessors despite reportedly having the same megapixel counts, but the site specifically says that the 50MP telephoto lens is exactly the same as last year.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro (which is reportedly what the base S26 model will be called) is also said not to have any camera upgrades, with this phone apparently sporting a 50MP main camera, a 10MP 3x telephoto, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 12MP selfie camera, just like the Samsung Galaxy S25.

The only model that is apparently getting camera upgrades is the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge, which could have a new 50MP ultra-wide module in place of its predecessor’s 12MP one – but the main sensor reportedly remains at 200MP, and the front-facing camera at 12MP.

We would, however, take these claims with a pinch of salt, as some of them conflict with earlier reports. For example, we previously heard that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro would have a 50MP ultra-wide camera.

We should find out which claims are right in a few months, as the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will likely land in early 2026.
