This document guides the step by step details instructions on how to configure your email accounts in Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod using IMAP or POP3.
STEP-1> Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account.
STEP-2> Tap Other.
STEP-3> In the Name box, enter your full name.
STEP-4> In the Address box, enter your full e-mail address (i.e. [email protected]).
STEP-5> In the Password box, enter your password, and then tap Save.
STEP-6> Tap either IMAP or POP. IMAP is recommended.
STEP-7> Under Incoming Mail Server, in the Host Name box, enter your incoming server name. (Your incoming mail server will like mail.yourdomain.com)
STEP-8> In the User Name box, enter your full e-mail address (i.e. [email protected]). In the Password box, enter your password.
STEP-9> Under Outgoing Mail Server, in the Host Name box, . (Your outgoing [smtp] mail server will like mail.yourdomain.com and Port will be 25 or 26; If you have troubles sending emails via port 25, try 26 instead.
STEP-10> In the User Name box, enter your full e-mail address (i.e. [email protected]). In Password, enter your password.
STEP-11> Tap Save.
Note: Before you setup a POP3 or IMAP4 e-mail account, you need to know your own POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP server settings.
Settings will be like:
User name: Your full email address
Password: the password for incoming/outgoing email server, make sure you enter the correct password, as you specified when created email id cPanel > Email Accounts
Incoming mail server: mail.yourdomain.com
IMAP Port: 143
POP3 Port: 110
Outgoing mail server: mail.yourdomain.com
SMTP Port 25 or 26; if you have troubles sending emails via port 25, try 26 instead.
Make sure that
Authentication is set to password.
SSL is set to OFF
Port No. POP: 110, IMAP: 143, SMTP: 25 or 26, SSL: OFF
