NYT Strands today (game #558) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #558, are…
- VINTAGE
- AGELESS
- ANTIQUE
- HISTORIC
- ENDURING
- SPANGRAM: TIME HONORED
- My rating: Hard
- My score: Perfect
After yesterday’s short and sweet game, we returned to a more complex search today with a series of tricky words.
The first one I spotted today was VINTAGE, something that used to have negative connotations but which today is very much seen in the same realm as “classic”.
This discovery led me to AGELESS, a dangerous concept that leads many to believe that appearance is the sole marker of time and quality.
Unusually, the spangram was the last thing that I connected – although I had tapped on TIME as a non-game word. A great game today, although far from HISTORIC.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands answers (Thursday, September 11, game #557)
- EXERCISE
- SHOWER
- REST
- READ
- PAINT
- STRETCH
- MEDITATE
- SPANGRAM: ME TIME
